What: Modern Asian restaurant

Open: Monday-Saturday, 12-2.30pm, 5.30-11pm

F&B: It may be a fine-dining modern Asian restaurant but the communal table in front of the kitchen might make you think twice, even if it is in fine white marble. But if you prefer, there are two upper floors with more conventional seating in this stylishly designed space.

The two chefs are Korean but their cuisine is light and imaginative, like the poached prawns in coriander oil with julienned endive and pomelo pearls.

Here, the traditional Korean pork belly dish is also updated with raw endive leaves and mild kimchi.

The drink list, however, is devoid of Asian influence, with only a couple of overly sweet cocktails and a smattering of sparkling, white and red wines.

Carpark: The trendy but tight neighbourhood of Amoy Street is a nightmare. Kerbside parking is cheap but vacant spaces are as rare as a supercar in Sengkang. Distant and/or expensive options are the URA Centre at Maxwell Road and China Square.
